There will be a chance to hear about the project and meet the Makers. 

Leading artist, Sally Gilford has been commissioned to create a new body of work exploring the hidden women in the history of the Bridgewater Canal. 

This work will be realised in the form of a limited edition, exclusive product range which will be launched and available to purchase from Salford Museum and Art Gallery. 

Manchester broadside balladress Jennifer Reid has written a new ballad for the project and artists from <Thread { } (Sally Gilford, Vicky Clarke & Cheryl O'Meara) have used data from her vocals to create a print design. You will be able to see and hear about this new work in a live collaborative performance during the evening event.
